Washington Secretary Of State Returns To Work After Cancer Treatment

Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman has returned to work after several weeks of cancer treatment.
Wyman teared up as she spoke with reporters in her office Monday.
“Back in March I was diagnosed with colon cancer and I’ve had just a wonderful support of people in this office, my family and people from across the state and I thank all of you,” she said.
Wyman underwent six and a half weeks of radiation, and two weeks of chemotherapy. She’s now awaiting the results of those treatments.
Wyman said she and her doctors are optimistic that she can survive the stage three cancer.
Wyman is a Republican serving her second term as Secretary of State.
